We will persevere and bring our people back. The IDF forces, arriving in the south, are receiving everything the people can offer them – especially love and hugs.
I invite you to invite your friends. There are more than 300 people in this group from all over the world, which is amazing. Let’s bring in more people to #sharethetruth that #HamasIsISIS and to spread awareness about what’s happening in Israel right now.
I’ll start providing updates in the evening.
Love you all, Shay

Do yourself a favor,
Take 28 minutes out of your day and watch this video. – made by a colleague of mine, Oren Cahanovitc.

If you traveled with me in the past, you know that I like to share and talk about the history but also about the ongoing conflict, Oren here took it one step further and made a 28-minute video that will help you understand the Israeli-Palestinian conflict like never before.

it’s not a pro-Israeli video – but a factual video, watch it and share it.
Thanks
Shay

So, where should I start?
Perhaps with the fact that we’re already ten days into what feels like a never-ending inferno.
Or maybe from today’s announcement by the army about the evacuation of 28 settlements within 2 km of the Lebanon border, due to a potential campaign against Hezbollah?

Or should I start with the fact that the photos of corpses at a bus stop, received at the beginning of the war, now have names and faces? It turns out there was a retirees’ trip to the Dead Sea that day, and those waiting for a ride were mercilessly massacred by Hamas terrorists. How about the fact that I sit here trying to choose what to send you – what’s too shocking, what’s too mild? How does one even make such decisions when it concerns the lives of people whose world changed in an instant? I don’t have all the answers, but let’s start somewhere anyway.

Missiles have been fired here all day – morning, noon, and evening. Sadly, it’s become so common that there’s a certain numbness to it, which is definitely not healthy.

I hope you saw the video I sent this afternoon explaining the roots of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. If not, I highly recommend it for a better understanding of the situation here. Oren did a really comprehensive job with it.
Shall we begin? Let’s start.

Let’s start with the words of Lucy Ahrish, an Israeli Arab, a Muslim woman married to a Jewish man, a news anchor in Israel, and one of the women I admire and respect the most.

09:20 PM

This was once a family’s home, filled with life, love, and laughter. Now, it stands in deafening silence. You might ask where this house is located.

My answer is that it’s in each of the 20 villages and Kibbutzim that Hamas infiltrated.

09:22 PM

This guy’s name is Yosef Haddad, he is an Arab-Israeli, and he served in the army and was even injured, today he is engaged in advocacy in the international arena, let’s hear what he has to say.

09:22 PM

Sorry, I was delayed because there was another alarm.
And by the way,
Abu Tabla is a religious Jew named Yoni, who lives in Samaria, a settler.. 5 children. He learned Arabic from his neighbors, some of whom were already certain that he was Palestinian.
And none of this changes the fact that everything he says in the video is the truth.

10:17 PM

This is a medical aid meant for the people in Gaza, found on a vehicle used by Hamas terrorists on Saturday.

10:23 PM

But wait, what about that organization that’s supposed to help people in captivity… how do you call it… something with a cross, oh, I remember, the Red Cross.

Surely, you’re curious about the people who were kidnapped to Gaza and have been held hostage for 10 days, soon to be 11.

And no, for those who are new to the group, Hamas is holding more than 199 people in captivity, most, if not all, of whom are civilians. Let me refresh your memory before I share the latest updates on their situation.

As of April 11, 2024, while working on this site, I must report that Shiri, her two children, and her husband remain in captivity, sadly separated from each other.

10:27 PM

An elderly woman, Yaffa Adar, appears in a distressing red overlay, with a plea for help, after being held hostage by Hamas terrorists in Gaza.

10:34 PM

So, after reminding ourselves that this war has another facet beyond just missiles and casualties — that there are people still living a nightmare every second and minute — what’s happening with the Red Cross? It’s been 10 days; it seems logical that they would have arrived by now to check on the kidnapped and captives, right?

This is from the Red Cross website: ‘Established in 1863, the ICRC operates worldwide, helping people affected by conflict and armed violence, and promoting the laws that protect victims of war. An independent and neutral organization, its mandate stems essentially from the Geneva Conventions of 1949.

We are based in Geneva, Switzerland, and employ over 21,000 people in more than 100 countries.

10:53 PM

Hamas just released a video of 21 years 21-year-old girl who was kidnapped by them.

Essentially, she states that she’s being treated well, receiving medication, and so on. You can also see that her hand is bandaged.

She pleads with the state to bring her home. What isn’t visible, though, is the script she was forced to read from, the gun likely pointed at her in case she deviated from the script, and we can’t know the full extent of what she really went through.

11:04 PM

Yoseph Hadad:
Incredible documentation from Kibbutz Be’eri after the massacre by Hamas – terrorists from Gaza infiltrated and arrived to loot, join the killings and torture, and others to kidnap residents or rape them.

Also, pay attention to the elderly Palestinian man with the crutches… so as the world watches the residents of Gaza – they should see this too!

Surveillance footage showing armed individuals and an elderly man with crutches at a gated entrance.

12:06 AM

Do me a favor. In the next video, press play and then close your eyes for thirty seconds. I know most of you, if not all, may not understand Hebrew, but sometimes language isn’t needed to grasp the essence of a conversation.

There are no gunshots or anything of that sort in the audio, just a conversation between two people — a mother and her son.
Then, open your eyes, rewind to the start, and watch what they were talking about.

12:14 AM

Shoshi Sbhat Hobelashvili’s farewell to her husband:
“My love, My husband, the love of my youth, The crown of my head, my entire world, My personal anchor. My soul is shattered;

I can’t comprehend that we’re here. You’ve always been my hero, and now you are a hero to all. I can’t believe I won’t see you again. I love you.

Since the age of 17, we’ve been one. You’ve been my best friend since I was 17. It was love at first sight, thank you for 10 joyous years.
Thank you for being you, for who you were and always will be to me.

At 6:30 in the morning, the alarm woke you. You immediately put on your uniform, not waiting for the call.

I suggested you might not go, but you did… You were the king of the world, always at the forefront, First to arrive, always supportive, lifting spirits – sometimes a little angry, but with a gentle smile at the end.

You don’t know how many people loved you, How much you were appreciated, the impact you left. You don’t know how much people learned from you.

Father in Heaven, why did you take him from me? It wasn’t his time. We had dreams, future plans. Just a week and a half ago, we found out I was pregnant. A week ago, we heard our little one’s heartbeat.

You were so happy. On one of the last Saturdays you were home, I asked where you saw us in 7 years. You don’t like such probing questions, I know. Instead of answering, you asked me the same. I said I saw us first and foremost happy, In the garden apartment you always dreamed of, With 5 children, a house full of life and noise, A big, happy family. Then you said you thought just like me.

My love, thank you for the two treasures you left me. Romi Or, who adored you. She’d hear your voice on video calls and immediately start looking for you.
We were supposed to go to Eilat on Thursday, our first family vacation with Rumi. You bought her a swimsuit, a hat, and floats, even though she’s only six months old. I saw the light and happiness in your eyes.
I promise to keep going.

I promise she’ll know who her father was and what he stood for. I promise she’ll be proud of you and will proudly tell everyone her father is a hero, a hero now watching over us from the sky. I promise she’ll have both a mother and a father; she won’t lack anything.

My love, I miss you. Watch over us from above. Now we are apart, but you are always in my heart, for life, And one day we will meet again. I love you, thank you, my hero.

12:19 AM

A little five-year-old boy was buried in the dead of night, alone, without a father, mother, brother, or sister to recite Kaddish for him, without someone obligated to mourn him. In quiet solitude… he departed this world and joined his parents in heaven.
May his memory be blessed. Eitan Kaptisher, a sweet five-year-old boy. May God avenge your blood. (The entire family is missing, either captured or murdered.)

12:23 AM

Maya’s last words to her father, a moment before she was abducted. The nightmare of every parent. Maya and Itay, her brother, are hostages in Gaza.

12:42 AM

A friend forwarded this to me: Today, we received a message in my high school class group from Beit Yerah, class of 1973. We learned that one of our classmates, Kinneret Dahan from Kibbutz Degania B., previously considered missing, was undoubtedly kidnapped by Hamas in Gaza and has now been identified among the deceased.

She was murdered during the takeover of Barry. Her daughter-in-law, the wife of her son who was with her, has not yet been found and may still be in Hamas’ hands in Gaza. Kinneret and I shared a table in grades 9 and 10. May her memory be blessed.

Currently, it’s not possible to bury her in Kibbutz Bari as the entire area is declared a closed military zone. Kineret Gat Daha May she rest in peace now in heaven

12:58 AM

Haim Jelin writes:
“We rose from sitting Shiva’a, the week-long mourning period in Judaism for immediate family members. Yet, we still don’t know how many friends we will miss on the paths of our kibbutz. We rose from sitting Shiva’a, but still, we didn’t know where we would bury our friends. We rose from sitting Shiva’a.

Now, I understand more than ever that the battle for the Oteph, the region around the Gaza Strip, is a fight for the very existence of the State of Israel. Without the Oteph, there is no country, because this war is a war of existence. It’s either them or us.

We will rebuild the Oteph – not merely restore it or return it to what it was, but construct a new, stronger, more thriving, and prosperous Oteph. We will be the light of the new State of Israel. A State whose civil society is exemplary. A country where volunteers like those in ZAKA are integral to the IDF and the nation. A country where the government serves all its people.

A country built on mutual responsibility and accountability as foundational social principles. A nation whose spirit is the commandment of loving thy neighbor. A country where the prime minister is a father figure to everyone. A country we will be proud of because this country is us!”

01:09 AM

And now, I’ll finish because I need to get up early. Dealing with the war day and night isn’t easy, but as I said yesterday, we must move forward. As my father always says, ‘We are strong and not made of sugar.’ 🙂

Those who have traveled with me know that I love songs and enjoy teaching my tourists to sing in Hebrew. One of the songs I recently added to our repertoire is from Psalm 121, called ‘A Song for the Ascents.’ On one of the last days, a famous Israeli singer, Omar Adam, visited one of the bases to perform and uplift the soldiers, and they all sang ‘A Song for the Ascents’ together.

It was an amazing experience, in my opinion, to hear them sing along with him. So this time, I’m sharing the words with you, so that you too can join us in singing, no matter where you are in the world. Raise a loud prayer with us and sing ‘A Song for the Ascents’ in your heart and in your home.

Thank you, Love you all,
Continue to share the truth,
Shay
